one year ago, the young poet a. kushnir published a book of love poems for his beloved. two weeks after receiving & ingesting his sentiment, his beloved caught pneumonia, which turned quickly into consumption, and she died. she was buried with the original .doc manuscript, typed out on and printed from a Windows 7 Netbook. the poet printed three more copies. one meant for his beloved's family, one to be delivered to Penguin publishing, and one to be cast into the ocean, to drift with the changing moon, and to drown with his love that could no longer be seen or felt or heard. a. kushnir never made it to any of his destinations. three months into his journey, he died of what doctors called "a brain aneurysm, possibly, but more likely alcohol poisoning and dysentary and heartbreak."
through a close acquaintance of the poet's, we were given these copies and told his story. while we cannot honor his wishes, we can remember his brief but brilliant legacy, and you can, too. pick up one of these rare relics before the word gets out. did you ever want to own a Picasso or a Van Gogh? now's your chance.
